dramatic revitalization is happening in downtown Odessa with economic
development and historical preservation at its very foundation. The Main
Street Program capitalizes on the unique character of the downtown area and
focuses on preserving it as a cultural, professional and business center.
Revitalization is an ongoing process and one that will be exciting to watch
– each change and each improvement destined to be a part of future
generations.
Building Information Assistance
– Main Street offers a listing of the available property in the downtown
area.
Design Assistance Program
– Main Street will provide design assistance through the Texas Main Street
Architect free of charge to the building owner. This service enhances the
visual quality of downtown.
Façade Grant – A limited amount of funding is available for exterior improvement for buildings in the designated project area. Please click on link to fill out a Facade Grant Form.

Grant
– A new program designed to help businesses within the project area to
display quality signage.
Grand
Opening Assistance
– Main Street will provide invitation printing and mailing for grand opening
celebrations.
Banner Program
– Banners displayed in downtown Odessa provide seasonal color and a festive
atmosphere. Exposure for
community groups during fundraisers is high with over 40 banners flying in
the business district.
Brick
Program
– In continuing the sidewalk improvement program, Main Street Odessa offer
citizens the opportunity no only to improve downtown’s appearance, but also
to memorialize a special person with an engraved brick.
Advertising Campaign
– Main Street assists in the joint advertising campaign of downtown area
businesses. Organized seasonally, these efforts result in a bigger impact of
advertising dollars.
